Automation Rotary Motion Systems

Reliable Rotary Positioning for Automated Production Equipment

Hangonghui supplies CNC rotary motion systems for automated assembly, inspection, machining, welding, dispensing, packaging and material-handling equipment.

Our main product categories include:

These two rotary motion technologies serve different production requirements. Cam indexing systems are generally selected for fast, repetitive, mechanically controlled indexing cycles, while hollow rotary platforms provide programmable angular positioning, flexible motion control and convenient routing of cables, air lines or vacuum tubes through the center opening.

Hangonghui evaluates the complete application—including load, inertia, cycle time, indexing angle, positioning accuracy, mounting space, motor configuration and control method—before recommending a suitable CNC rotary motion system.

Rotary Motion Systems for Industrial Automation

Rotary motion is a critical function in many automated machines. A rotary system may move a workpiece between assembly stations, position a component under a camera, rotate a welding fixture, index a dial table or turn a robotic arm to a programmed angle.

The correct rotary motion system must provide more than rotational movement. It must also meet the machine’s requirements for:

  • Positioning accuracy

  • Repeatability

  • Indexing speed

  • Dwell stability

  • Output torque

  • Allowable load

  • Moment-load capacity

Hangonghui supplies rotary positioning components as individual units or as part of an engineered automation assembly.

Our CNC rotary motion systems can be integrated into:

  • Standalone automation equipment

  • Multi-station dial machines

  • Robot work cells

  • Automated production lines

  • Inspection systems

  • Special-purpose machinery

  • Assembly and testing equipment

  • Loading and unloading systems

  • Machine-tending applications

CNC Rotary Motion System Product Range

Cam Indexing Systems

Cam indexing systems convert continuous motor rotation into controlled intermittent output motion. A typical operating cycle consists of an indexing period followed by a dwell period, allowing the machine to move a workpiece to the next station and hold it in position while another process is completed.

Cam indexers are particularly suitable for machines that repeat the same motion cycle over long production runs.

Hollow Rotary Platforms

A hollow rotary platform is a servo- or stepper-driven positioning unit with a central through hole and a directly usable output table.

The hollow opening allows electrical cables, pneumatic tubes, vacuum lines, optical paths or mechanical components to pass through the rotary axis. This can reduce external cable loops and simplify machine layout.

Unlike a fixed-station mechanical indexer, a hollow rotary platform can generally be programmed for different angles, speeds and motion sequences when matched with a suitable motor, driver and controller.

How to Choose the Right Rotary Motion Technology

Choose a Cam Indexing System When:

  • The machine follows a fixed production sequence

  • The same indexing angle repeats continuously

  • High-volume production is required

  • A stable mechanical dwell is important

  • Several stations operate around one dial

  • Mechanical synchronization is preferred

  • Product changeovers are infrequent

  • The system must run at a predictable fixed cycle

Choose a Hollow Rotary Platform When:

  • Angular positions vary between processes

  • Product recipes change frequently

  • The axis must be controlled by a PLC or motion controller

  • Cable or tube routing through the center is required

  • The machine needs a compact rotary module

  • Different speeds or acceleration profiles are required

  • The application requires forward and reverse rotation

  • A fixture must mount directly on the output platform

Consider a Servo-Controlled Cam System When:

  • High cam-mechanism rigidity is required

  • The machine also needs a degree of programmable motion

  • Cycle speed must be adjusted between products

  • The indexing motion requires electronic synchronization

  • Fixed mechanical indexing is too restrictive

CNC Rotary Motion Systems by Application

Automated Assembly

Rotary motion systems move parts between:

  • Loading

  • Pressing

  • Screwdriving

  • Welding

  • Testing

  • Inspection

  • Labeling

Cam indexers are well suited to repetitive multi-station dial machines, while hollow rotary platforms are useful when station angles or product recipes must change.

Vision Inspection

Hollow rotary platforms can rotate a component beneath one or more cameras for:

  • Surface inspection

  • Dimensional inspection

  • Label verification

  • Code reading

  • Defect detection

  • 360-degree image capture

The central hole can simplify routing for camera, lighting or fixture cables.

Laser Processing

Programmable rotary positioning can support:

  • Laser marking

  • Laser engraving

  • Laser welding

  • Circumferential processing

  • Multi-angle processing

Welding and Dispensing

Rotary platforms and cam indexers can position workpieces for:

  • Arc welding

  • Laser welding

  • Adhesive dispensing

  • Sealant application

  • Coating

  • Soldering

Electronics Manufacturing

Applications include:

  • Connector assembly

  • Motor assembly

  • Sensor assembly

  • PCB-related automation

  • Coil processing

  • Small-component inspection

  • Semiconductor handling

Battery and New-Energy Equipment

Rotary systems can be used in:

  • Cell assembly

  • Module inspection

  • Welding stations

  • Dispensing systems

  • Terminal positioning

  • Component transfer

  • Motor stator production

Packaging Machinery

Cam indexing systems can support repetitive movement in:

  • Filling

  • Capping

  • Sealing

  • Labeling

  • Cartoning
